Frugal and Free Things To Do In South Florida - Spring Break 2011

Spring break is here, and there are lots of free things to do in South Florida. I am going to list a few South Florida frugal and free events and activities that you can enjoy with your family this spring break.


Friday March 18th:
Target Free Fridays at The Miami Children's Museum. From 3 - 9 p.m.

Every third Friday of the month,Target offers free admission to the Miami Children's Museum for everyone. See the Miami Children's Museum for more details.

Friday March 18th:
Funtastic Friday in Hollywood, Florida
Fridays are a lot of fun in downtown Hollywood, FL, so bring your kids to Young's Circle  (US1/Hollywood Boulevard):
At 5 p.m. there are free bounce houses and fun free activities for the kids. at 8 p.m. there will be a free movie showing, and Friday March 18th the feature movie is Ferris Buhler.

Great beach, fun playgrounds by the Johnson Street Parking House, entertainment at night, and great places to eat on the Hollywood Beach Broadwalk.

Visiting Crandon Beach Park in Key Biscayne, is like going on vacation for the day. The 2 mile beach is beautiful, there are picnic tables and bbq grills, so make sure to bring your picnic baskets. While you are there, don't forget to climb to the top of the Cape Florida lighthouse....it's free!

I recommend going during the week if possible, or start out early. Once lunch time hits, the ingoing traffic will be high, and Sundays can be very busy.
