Gulfstream Casino and Racetrack recently went through a major expansion, and a few days ago we went to inspect the final result. Visiting the Village at Gulfstream Park Casino and Racetrack is free, but if you want a frugal afternoon I suggest you leave the wallet at home as there are many temptations.
There are lots to see included in the free admission, and you can even park for free as long as you do not want valet parking. The fountains are impressive, the racetrack is enormous and the decor and architecture is grandiose.
The Gulfstream Park Casino has 850 slot machines, electronic table games and hi-stakes poker, and there is always something going on. You can see the weekly events at the Gulfstream Casino Calendar.

At our recent visit to Gulfstream Casino and Racetrack, we went to explore the Gulfstream Village during the morning hours, so there was not much going on. At night the place comes alive with bars, live music, restaurants and at the casino. The races run from Wednesday to Sunday.
Even during the day the place is majestic, with enormous winding stair cases, elaborate fountains and expensive storefronts. There is a small road going through the city inside the GulfStream Park, which makes it a bit different and not as cozy as the city at Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood, Fl.
The stores at the Gulfstream Park Village
The Village at Gulfstream Park has more than 15 restaurants, bars, cafes and nightclubs, and there are plenty of high-end shopping opportunities. The Village at Gulfstream includes high-end and trendy stores such Next, Skemo, Valhalla Menswear, Bobby Chan, Martier, Claudio Milano, Apricot Lane and Adrenalina. The horse track at Gulfstream Park has been known for its high-stakes races since 1939, and there are races on the 1 1/8 mile main race track from Wednesday to Sunday. The general admission into the walking ring, the tiki hut and the apron is free, but you can check the Gulfstream visitor guide for specific prices for other seating.

The Pony Pals Kids Club at The Village at Gulfstream Park is a kids club for children 6 and under. Pony Pals meets every Tuesday from 11am – noon at the Champions Plaza, where the kids can do activities such as sing-a-longs, character appearances, crafts, games & more!
