Food Tours in Miami

Miami Food Tours
When it comes to eating and drinking at Miami best restaurants taking one of the Miami food tours offered by a small local company run by passionate foodies is a great choice to get to know the neighborhood through food

The company's most popular tour is the South Beach Food Tour, which takes foodies on a three hour walking tour of the Art Deco district while stopping at some of the best restaurants in Miami Beach. Not only is food served at the SOBE tour, but participants also get to learn the historical facts of Miami

Stops include a visit to a cigar factory where attendees can watch and learn how a Cuban cigar is made by the famous cigar roller named Jose, who has been rolling Cuban-style cigars for almost 30 years.  The tour also includes various stops on Ocean drive, the most visited street on South Beach, and it teaches people about the stories behind the Versace mansion, the hotel Victor, the Essex House and the famous Congress hotel.

Participants also get to learn the basics of Art Deco architectural while various stops to savor the local cuisine at off-the-beaten path small eateries and restaurants that even locals might not know. Drinks are served on the tour as well, and these are drinks that most people have never tried before such as Colombian refajo and Peruvian pisco sour.

The South Beach Food Tour is a great attraction in Miami at a very reasonable price so that everyone can enjoy a taste of the South Florida life.

GrubHub Giveaway - An Easy Way Of Ordering Food Online Miami

Grubhub Logo
I recently discovered GrubHub a new way of ordering food online in Miami and South Florida, and a few weeks ago my family tried ordering dinner from a local South Florida restaurant with GrubHub.

GrubHub is a great concept, where you can order online from local restaurants or order through  your smartphone, and I am very impressed with the ease of ordering. GrubHub is operating in the top 18 metro markets including Miami, and besides ordering food online, you can also use the service to compare menu prices, read reviews and find unique restaurant coupon offers.

GrubHub has made ordering food online in Miami  quick, simple and easy. At GrubHub all you need to do is enter your address or choose your city, and GrubHub will show you which participating restaurants are near you. Although I am in an urban area of South Florida, I am not downtown Miami or at Miami beach where all the restaurants are, but I still had six different restaurants to order from including my family's favorite smoothie place/cafe and a local Mexican restaurant. GrubHub definitely makes ordering food online in Miami and South Florida easier for both local restaurants and customers.

Super 8 St. Augustine Beach Review - An Affordable Florida Hotel - Great Comfort and Value

Super 8 St Augustine Beach
This week my family went on our annual frugal summer vacation, and this years destination was St. Augustine, Florida - the oldest city in the nation. We stayed at the Super 8 St. Augustine Beach, and it surpassed our expectations by far. All of my preconceived notions about the Super 8 chain were put to shame, and our stay at the Super 8 St. Augustine was more pleasant than other stays we have had in expensive hotels.

Looking For An Affordable Hotel in St. Augustine, Florida
After checking out Hotwire and Priceline, I decided that using these discount sites would not work for me, as my family wanted to stay on the beach, and the St. Augustine beach area on these sites were simply to large to be able to narrow down the right hotel for us. I checked out a few of the larger hotel chains, and I even made a couple of calls, but none of them had the price that I was looking for.

When I finally decided to check out the Super 8 St. Augustine Beach, I was surprised to see all of the great reviews on both Tripadvisor and hotels.com, so in the end I decided to take a gamble, and I booked the Super 8 in St. Augustine Beach for three nights. We paid $59 per night + tax, and I booked through Hotels.com and Mypoints to get points back and credit toward a free night stay.
